Is SAR level another game used by manufacturers to make their device look better? It seems like Apple devices are always on the high end and Samsung devices on the low end for SAR levels. The more I've looked into it it appears Samsung measures the SAR levels at a distance of 15mm from the head and body while Apple measure from 5mm. What is the point of having a legal limit for radiation if there appears to be no standard of how to test it? As someone who gets frequent headaches is this something to worry about? (I plan on getting a 7 Plus later this week)

I believe this would be the T-Mobile variant 7 plus rating under U.S. guidelines:

1.6 W/kg (over 1 g) SAR Limit
Head: 1.19
Body: 1.19

I wouldn't know how to do the math, but I wonder what the levels would be with a rough conversion at 15mm instead of the 5mm Apple tested at.

Anyone have any insight on these ratings?
