No matter what Samsung I had at my friend home no issue with reception but on my iPhone I can't make calls at their home. Very weird. Will drop and can't figure out why
Still love my iPhone but this is only place can't use to full capabilities

Re: Recrption

Try resetting the network settings to see if reception improves. Also, take the phone out of its case, if applicable to see if things improve.

Re: Recrption

Don't know what service you're using or how long it has been since you set up your new iPhone. But try connecting it to iTunes and see if you get a prompt for a carrier settings update. Hopefully there is one and it will help resolve the issue.

If none of the above works, contact your carrier. They may can send a reset signal to the device. This is different from the reset network settings in the phone's settings. They may have other ideas.

I agree with this. It's very unusual for the iPhone to have a worse signal. I've always had better reception with my iPhones than android phones.

Even if this doesn't work for the OP, this is something for anyone else who has stumbled upon this thread through a search to consider. Lots of third party cases are just bad for the antenna.

I only use quality cases and I don't have wifi option. It's my best friends house and her daughter has same problem with her iPhone. We are Verizon. I will call them. Thank you

Probably just a coincidence, but I had very poor reception today on Verizon. I've never had someone tell me I was breaking up and I had 4 different people tell me that today. I did a soft reset but didn't have any long conversations after that so we will see how tomorrow goes.

Reset Network Settings may have worked better.

You can also get a carrier update (if there is one) by going to Settings > General > About.

Did it yesterday :)

I thought resetting the network settings would help but at work today I saw what was working prior was no longer working at work. I called Verizon and am getting a new SIM card. And if the problem still persists then will have tech support look into it more deeply. At home it is fine and and work it used to be as good. I hope the new SIM will work. Very strange. I will get it resolved.

If you have an Apple Store within 150 miles of where you live, save yourself a lot of headache and go there. You need to make a Genius Bar appointment first though. You will probably be wasting your time talking to Verizon. I went though this my self a couple of months ago. The Apple Store will fix you up.

Thx so much. Unfortunately I have no days off right now. I am short staffed so working overtime. I intend to go see Apple specialist when I have the time. I hope the new SIM will help. It's working perfectly at home. Used to at work.
