I have no idea what happened but my home button feels different since yesterday.
I went in the settings and saw it's at its usual level 2, but when I tried level 1 and 3 i realized they're all exactly the same.
I have not dropped my phone.
My home button feels "hypermobile" if that makes any sense.
So far I haven't noticed any difference in how my phone works.
Has anyone run into anything similar?

A few days ago I was typing something on my 7 Plus and started feeling a certain "hollowness" so to speak around the bottom half of the screen. I am getting that same feeling now whenever I click the home button. I have a feeling there's something going on with the little tactile engine.

Try doing reboot (if you haven't) and if you did, then do a hard reset. Hold Sleep/Wake and Volume Down till screen turns off, then power back on.

Thanks. I just had a medical emergency so suddenly my phone is the last thing on my mind but I'll try that when the dust settles down.

I had major surgery on a moment's notice and more pain afterwards than I ever thought the human body could handle. But modern medicine being it's wonderful self, I am on the mend. This one will take time though, it was a major big deal.
