If I take a picture whilst geotagging is on can the receiver see where it was taken? I often have to take pictures of documents for work and was recently pondering this. It's not a big deal but it just seems pretty weird / unprofessional if they can. Ideas anyone?

I don't know any medium in which exif info is included when sending a photo. That's not to say there is no such medium.

I've never seen it on my phone. But, yes, someone can see the EXIF data with the right gadget. Most people won't see it though. I geotag all my photos.

That is the entire point of geotagging photos. To document within the photo's data where it was taken. Any software that can access the EXIF data can access the geotag.

And why I have location disabled for my camera app.

Thanks for the replies guys, needless to say I've turned it off. The places album always creeped me out anyway.
