    Hi

I am a long time die hard Android user.

Thinking of switching to IPhone soon.

The only pain I see is how can I seamlessly transfer my pdf files which number in the 100's from my external memory card to the internal storage of an IPhone seamlessly without complications.

I also wish there were more toggles like turning data location power saving mode on/off like in my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

The reason I am getting tired and frustrated from Android is the lack of updates or delay in updates and no consistency in battery life after a few months.

    All help appreciated ☺

You will need a PDF application. I use Readdle's PDF Expert (Paid app, they and others have free ones), and go through your cloud service. If you currently have a Droid, I assume you also have Google Drive. Most of the apps support that. You can, depending on the app, use the PDFs directly from the cloud or download them into the app.

Most applications are not able to use free-form access to the device storage, but can set their own on-device storage that only shows within the application.

I would suggest copying those PDF files to google drive or one drive or dropbox. Whatever works for you. Then you can access them from anywhere and if you want to save them directly on your phone for some reason, you can do that too.

Alternatively you can buy a card reader to plug into your iPhone.

I came from android as well. Best thing is upload them to Dropbox and you can access them there. Also I am able to open my PDF in iBooks

Welcome to iMore! You'll need to get your files from your SD card to a Mac or PC, then move them to your iPhone from there. The easiest way would be to use a backup service like Dropbox or OneDrive. You can also use iCloud Drive, which is built into the Apple ID you establish when you receive your iPhone. It's pretty seamless if you have a Mac but a PC would require that you download and install the iCloud app for Windows. More info here:

I use the PDF reader made by Adobe and it supports a number of cloud services including Dropbox, Apple iCloud Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and I'm sure that if you install another cloud service app it'll plug right into it as well. It also supports locally stored PDFs as well.

I hear you on that. And also how the updates just make battery life horrible. I made the switch and not looking back
