Well, a go tip on how to know* how to check that, just open the App Store. If it shows Google Store, it's a copy.

But where did you buy it, if I may ask?

Or install iTunes on your computer, start it, connect the iPhone using the Lightning cable to it and see if it recognizes the phone as an iPhone.

Go to Settings > General > About > Serial Number

    Type the serial number here:
    https://checkcoverage.apple.com/ae/e...4GMRp!80162517

If it displays 'Please enter a valid serial number' then it's fake.

Welcome to iMore Ayesha. Obviously something caught your attention as to why you're concerned that it might be a fake. There are several ways to find out if it's fake or not. Where did you purchase it, how much did it cost, plug into iTunes, Check serial number, go into an Apple Store...Ectera, ectera. I would not use it or put personal information on the device until I found out. Good luck and ENJOY the site.

The serial number check will not gallentee its not fake.
As my son recently found out he brought a fake iphone 6 plus and that passed the serial check.

His is a very good copy, looking at it you carnt tell the difference.
Its only when you look at the software that you can tell.

Signs to look out for are,
Screws at bottom on phone copy's sometimes use pozi drive screws.
Different font on phone, press home button or on boot is there a launcher app.
Browser is it chrome and is siri defiantly siri.

Best bet if you're unsure and live close to one would be to go to the Apple Store.

Never heard of a "fake" iPhone, unless we're talking about cheap Android knockoffs from China that look virtually identical to the iPhone...

I think this post is a knockoff since the OP has never responded.

How do you even buy a fake iPhone?

A safe way is to buy from Apple direct or your wireless provider.
