Well I'm glad you figured it out. I was in the process of checking my post because I do have two versions of that particular wallpaper. I thought I made the mistake.

Do you have a lighter version as this one the top of the icon areas seem real dark and not as clear & crisp as yours.

Hey, I've posted about this before in various home screen threads but it appears Apple have finally relinquished some control over how our wallpapers look on the 10.2 public beta! Hoping it's not a mistake and they change it back in another release!

So they grey filter they applied to the wallpapers was really aggressive I found in iOS 10. It's always been there but it seemed worse, but now they've toned it down to the point it's hardly noticeable, here are my findings:

One phone is running iOS 10.1 the other 10.2, think it's obvious which one is 10.2!

Anyway to stay on topic, here is my quite plain home screen:
