According to this app it is 2900mah

Such an awesome battery. My old LGs were 3000 and never lasted this long lol. Low power use from the OS and screen on the iPhone right?

iOS has always been good at power management. Android has gotten better though. Especially devices that don't go overboard with OEM and carrier bloat. And that's significant here because it's none of that on the iPhone. But in general iPhone battery life has been good when in comparison to devices with the same size.

I am coming from a Blackberry Z30 with a 2880mah battery and it no longer lasts the day for me.

I sure hope I don't have battery issues with the iPhone 7 plus I just ordered given that it appears the batteries are very close in size...

Batteries are close in size but the OS will handle it differently. My last android phones were 3000mah and didn't last the 5-7 hours of SOT I get on the 7+.

Is that 5-7 hours of continuous use? I'm sure I wouldn't come close to that kind of continuous usage. Thanks for the info, I think I should be fine.

I unplugged at 3:30am this morning and it's now 10:06 and I have 6 percent left with 8 hours of usage. Best iPhone battery I've ever had!

Phone comes off the dock at 5:45 am and at 9:20 pm I'm at 40%. No charging throughout the day and I'm a fairly heavy user (6.5 hrs so far).

Better battery life than my 6s plus.

It really depends on the phone... I have had Androids that can hit 10 hours SOT, and some that can do like 3 hours.

The 7 plus does get excellent battery life though.

Yes continuous. Well there was a bathroom and lunch break for an hour in between lol

I am probably at 7-hours of all-day useage...calls, texts & three pushed email accounts...on top of stuff like BBM, Slack (I'm a mod at CrackBerry too) and FB/Twitter/Instagram. At first I was a bit disappointed because of all the "2-day" hype...but I've come to see that 7-hours with all that I use it for isn't too shabby at all.

iOS is optimized to be efficient but powerful. Apple did well with the iPhone 7Plus. I love it. I thought I would question the smaller battery then the Nexus 6P but I can get through a heavy usage day on my iPhone without charging whereas I would need to charge my 6P halfway through the day.
