Default Moving Texts from iPhone to iPhone

How do you suggest I move my text messages from my iPhone 6+ to my iPhone 7+ without doing a backup and restore in iTunes? Are there any apps that actually work and you recommend?

I'm not sure. But what's wrong with just restoring an encrypted backup in iTunes? You don't have to set everything up over again.

That is incorrect. That's just a matter of preference. There is nothing wrong or out of the ordinary by doing that. If you end up having problems after a few days then do a restore as new. Otherwise, save the headache and just backup and restore.

Also, check the little box for "Encrypted" so that you don't have to input all your passwords over again on your new device.
