My alarm has been set for 02:55 Eastern. The real question will be, can Apple's servers handing the sheer volume of page requests they are going to receive between 23:59 - 02:00 (guessing after two hours they'll be all gone...)?

My guess is they'll be gone within half hour. Apple always likes to build up the hype so the initial stock will be lower.

Agree. I like how they did it the one year with a sat/sunday preorder. Or just have the preorders go live @9 pm on east coast and 6 pm on west coast.
