Finally I'm able to finally get the Matte Black version of the Spigen Hybrid Armor after months of backordering. I originally cancelled it and went with something else from the Speck Presidio grip, Apple Leather, and the UAG Plasma.

I did find one minor flaw in the UAG, the bottom and top middle isn't a tight fit. This morning, the top half of my phone was actually popping out of the case and I quickly pushed it back into the case. Not good for a good quality case with a huge name, reminds me of the Tech 21 case and it's a bummer because I really like this case and even better that they removed the stupid two holes.

Also the transparent sucks, it makes the back look like more Space Gray and not matte black. Very bummed as well as I expected better from a clear type case.

My Griffin survivor adventure just showed up. Brand new design. The polycarbonate plates already had a few scuffs. Overall I like it though. Managed to drop my phone while putting it on. Since I was over tile could have been bad but mostly landed on my foot and only a minor finish scuff that you can't really see on a bottom corner.

Anyway for the case the buttons feel nice though nearly flush which is a bit odd. Has some weight but partly due to having the double poly backplate going because it has a built in clear plus comes with a clear and a color that can snap over it

I'm using an Apple silicone case at the moment...but I have a black leather Apple case on order. They seem to fit the best, have the best feel...and look cool.

Pic of it in the case via my wife's 7. It washes out the matte black slightly but not as much as it appears in the pic and less if I take the removable plate off leaving just the built in clear panel. I'll probably put the smoke colored one on for a while at some point.

I thought it was a Silver phone, not a matte. I have a matte plus and have tried 5 clear cases from Spigen and Ringke. None of them showed off the Matte black color. Plus they felt gross and were fingerprint magnets.

I think the Apple leather and silicone cases look the best. The leather feel the best. They are not as grippy but over time they become more grippy. The silicone can chip if you remove them often and get shiny in places they are worn. But they are more uniform with less natural imperfections the leather

Yeah I was looking for a rugged case for hiking etc and decided to try this due to the 8 foot rating. I was wanting to try a Griffin case and the only other options were the journey or the thicker case with the slide in screen cover. Decided to take a chance on this. I knew it would show scuffs and prints. I'm ok with that and figured the clear would show the matte better than the frosted ones I've seen. I'll try to get a better pic and with the extra plate removed.

Here's a good pic of it with just the built in clear back. It does show the color pretty good then when there's no glare. I could probably get a better pic in daylight. Indoor lighting seems tricky with this case.

I'm still on the look for good cases...
Tried a incipio dual pro on my husband's plus and the smooth surface of the casing made it harder to hold.. =(

Might have to return it and try specks.

I like this case and it's exactly what I've been looking for. Because of the lighting it makes the color of the phone in the first photo look like the Space Gray, but the second photo shows off the Matte Black nicely. This case is definitely on my list. Thanks for sharing
