Thanks for replys guys/girls just interesting to see how others use their iphones I do usually leave on 24/7 I sometimes just shut down at night to reboot and still have a landline .
We have a landline simply because it's part of our internet/TV package but literally never use it. We keep the ringer and voicemail turned off at all times and have never given anybody the number. For this reason, along with other reasons, I keep my phone turned on ALL of the time.

I shut my phone down while charging and that's around 3 times a week. My phone deserves a rest so I make sure to shut it down especially during my idle hours when I don't expect someone to contact me. At night, I don't shut it down because I'll be needing to use the alarm or in case of some emergency calls.

It's resting while it's asleep no need to turn off.

I pondered that as well. I very rarely shut if down unless I am on a long flight and want to preserve battery for when I land.

Due to the emergency notifications that the iPhone offers, I never shut mine off. I live in a country with a lot of earthquakes though.
Never want to know any alerts. If there is anything happening anytime especially at night me want to sleep during anything like that. All my alerts are toured off.

Of course. You might die, but at least you'll get a good nights sleep.

You can shut your down and the alarm will still ring. Mine does.

In my experience, the amount of times it would do that is limited. Safer to just leave it on. lol

The battery might not lose the whole night if the phone was left on.

Leave it on. Sometimes I'll plug it in to charge, depending on how low it is at bedtime.

I haven't turns off my phone in probably close to a decade (reboots don't count as it comes back on immediately). My cellphone is my only phone.

It's a personal thing. My current commute is over an hour in, so even with running the music player and a GPS app with the screen on, I can still fully charge my iPhone 6 in the car with the battery starting at 75%.

I use my phone as a sleep radio when I go to bed at night. I will have it charging while streaming for about an hour on a timer.
I do the exact same thing! My phone is never off

Just wondering how many people shut their iphone off at night while sleeping or leave it on 24/7 would there be any benefit to shut it down once in awhile .
I leave mine on 24/7 365. There's no real benefit in turning it off, unless you're on a plane that does't supply power in the arm of the seat.

Only time that happens is if you have no signal, and the phone is ramping power to the radio trying to find a carrier.

    K. Mine always is connected to wifi because I do not have a phone service connected to any of my devices. Well...besides magic jack. At night I listen to radio stations using my iPad and this is basically the same thing I can turn off the iPad and still listen to the radio stations.

That''s the problem. Unless you've turned the cellular radio off, it's trying to find a carrier.

Yup... enable Airplane Mode then turn on wifi (and bluetooth if needed).
