Why aren't I able to delete pictures off of my 6S?

Not able to delete pictures off my 6S phone

Win 10
find my I phone icon

go internal storage , DCIM , Apple 101 ,

select all , DELETE , get verification screen (yes I want to delete all 224 pictures, then get a message you don't have permission to delete this item................... or any item (picture)

You can not write on the iPhone drive via your computer. You can only read the drive.
If you want to delete pictures from the iPhone, do that directly on the iPhone photo app.

If the photos were synced to the phone, they will have to be deleted on the computer.
