I have an iPhone 6s brand new and when it connects to my 2015 Chevy Impala it mutes. How can I fix this?

i have an iPhone 6s brand new and when it connects to my 2015 chevy impala

when I make a call the sound on the radio mutes and the air conditioner goes to a lower speed. When I hang up the air conditioner comes back up but I have no sound on the radio.

Any one know a fix. It has been to Chevy and the software is up to date.

In all honesty, I would guess this is a problem at Chevy's end, rather than at Apple's end. Regardless of whether Chevy's software is up to date, they could have a bug in their system. Saying that of course, Apple has to make their device compatible with hundreds of different manufacturers and after-market solutions, so it could be a bug somewhere at Apple's end too.

Have you tried un-pairing the device and deleting the connection from both the phone and the car and then re-pairing the device and seeing if that works?
