Unread mail count in Exchange, how can I make it read the count correct?

Unread mail count in Exchange

I use Exchange for my work email on my iPhone 6s and the unread mail count is always wrong. When I check on any other device the unread count is always correct.

Gmail is used for my personal email and it doesn't have this issue on the 6s.

Is there a fix or work around to keep the unread count correct?

mine sometimes doesnt update right away i typically have to open it and let it refresh

Thanks for the reply. Mine will update but the count doesn't change unless there's new mail. The count will still be wrong though. I can go to "settings" then "mail, contacts, calendars" and turn off "mail" in Exchange. Then turn the phone off for a couple of minutes, turn it back on then turn "mail" back on and the count is correct for a while. Really strange..
