How Does Battery Life Compare To Your Last Phone?

My most recent phones prior to getting the 6S were the Note 5, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPhone 6. I expected my 6S to be essentially on par with the others, but to my surprise, it's positively superior. I would say it's about 20% better than my 6 Plus, and 30% better than my Note 5 and iPhone 6. Is anyone else getting better-than-expected battery life? Generally when we experience a surprise in the battery life department, it's not a pleasant surprise, so I'm pretty elated to be finishing the day with at least 50% battery remaining almost every single day (and I'm a relatively heavy user). I'm about to head to bed now and am finishing the day with 76% left.

The 6 plus was a great improvement in battery life and Apple has made more improvements to the 6 plus. I know that I am definitely getting the 7 plus when it comes out. :) My iPhone 6 gets to about 40% or so with the moderate usage I have for it.

My last phone was a Motorola Droid Maxx, which is almost exactly the same length and width as the 6s but has a 3500 mah battery, so about double the iPhone 6s. Battery life was my main concern about switching to the iPhone, but I've found battery life to be a bit *better* on the iPhone.

So, yes, I'm quite pleased.

WOW...Interesting.
My battery life on my 6s Plus is about the same as my 6 Plus...I really haven't noticed and difference...Still the BEST battery life of any previous device I've owned

Barely 3 hours SOT with facebook notifications off and about an hour of music. Note 5 gets about 6 hours SOT and 2 hours of music with a quadHD screen on a good day and Android's generally poor app quality. The 6s reminded me of HTC One which I had to baby. Battery also drained quicker after idle I suppose to make up for the "accurate" idle drain measurement.

Wow, that's insane to me because it couldn't be more different than my experience, but I absolutely take you at your word because I've seen nothing but completely fair posts from you. My iPhone 6S is currently at 6 hours, 28 minutes of screen-on time and 12 hours, 36 minutes of standby with 43% battery remaining. It's been a couple of months since I last used it, but if memory serves, I never even got that much on my 6 Plus, much less my Note 5. Though, admittedly, my experience with the Note 5's battery life isn't entirely fair because it didn't have a way to turn off 4G and therefore always switched between pulling a weak 4G signal and a strong 3G in my house, whereas the iPhone allows you to disable 4G to keep a strong, solid 3G signal (with Wifi for data).
