I heard that they have subtile differences in efficiency and battery usage. How can i know which one I have without tearing them apart?

Download the Lirum Device Info Lite app, and look at the model number on the main page. N66AP (6s Plus) or N71AP (6s) means a Samsung chip, while N66MAP or N71MAP means the TSMC chip.

Must be a conspiracy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!1

I hear you can more easily see what chip is located inside your phone by throwing it rather solidly at a wall, separating the screen from the chassis, then taking a look inside. Concrete apparently works well too.

The easiest way is to google "cpu identifier 6s" on your phone and install it. Then go to settings > general > profile > then tap trust then open the app and it will tell you in simple terms if it's tmsc or samsung.

Or you could just use one of the apps already mentioned in the thread, open it up and read the information it gives you without having to adjust any settings or anything. Seems simple enough to me...
