Yes. I am getting the Note 7 and keeping my iPhone 6S+. I will use both. IMO, Samsung Cameras outshine the competition and Apple outshines in OS overall operation. I'll take what I like about both and use it to my advantage. But I will use both devices and keep both eco systems up to date with my information. Let's hope that Samsung's reduction of TouchWhiz was for the better of the device.

This is exactly what I do, I have both the 6s Plus and I have pre ordered the note 7 (coral blue). I just sold my note 5 and yes I did not get good value as I would have had I sold the iphone. What I like most though about apple is buying directly from them unlocked no carrier bloat. Samsung for some reason either has no faith that they could sell without the carriers or just don't give a dang about those of us that do not want carrier branded phones but unlocked and carrier free. Any how small rant, but I take the good and use my note when traveling and iphone when chilling at home and or on vacation. Apple is fun with productivity, while the note is purely a productive device being able to sign pdf's right from the phone with the built in software vs. a third party charging in app fees and what not is great.

One thing people tend to forget about Android and the perceived "lack of updates" is that SOOOOO many core features in Android are updated without a major OS update. Which isn't the case at all with iOS. What I mean is, new features in apps like Gmail, Music, Calendar, Camera, etc. can all be updated pretty regularly just by updating the apps. You want those same things updated in iOS? Then you have to wait for either a point release or an entirely new OS update. Arguing updates between Apple and Android is an apples v. oranges debate. Not one in the same. Additionally, Samsung has shown, at least with the S7/S7 edge, to be on top of the monthly security updates (at least in the carrier versions). All major carrier versions are on the July update.

And I don't believe in the perceived slow down either. My wife had an S6 edge Plus that worked just as well as the day she got it. She only traded it in to get the S7 edge for the battery life boost. But I messed around with that phone, it was absolutely on par with my 6s Plus.

Good point. How is her battery life on the S7Edge compared to your iP6s Plus?

This is how I look at Android devices (especially Samsung). Let's look at this similar to a horse race, out of the gate the Samsung looks great and takes the lead into the first turn, then runs out of gas with three more turns left in the race.
After approx three months maybe four the support deteriorates and if I'm lucky enough to see a Android OS update during the short lifespan, it makes the smartphone almost unusable. Proof in the pudding is the resale value...it pretty much speaks for itself. Thanks , but no thanks. The iPhone might not have all the bells and whistles but it gets the job done on a daily basis...it's been my experience that the Apple iPhone "JUST WORKS"....my .02 cents.

Exactly my thoughts and i have had my fair share of Samsungs/HTC and others. You can't buy on release as they drop so quick in price before you know it you have lost 50% when you go to sell. As a business user living a 7 hour drive to a Apple/Samsung store i like Apple's mail out replacements if needed.

I do appreciate the fact that on imore.com you can actually talk about getting a Android without being called stupid or insulted and called a troll..

Most people try to make it a line in the sand type of thing but that's not the case. I would say half of all tech people own both iOS and android devices. If advice is worth owning who cares what os is on it. Well except Windows lol

It's a nice phone but not for me. I like the continuity of all of my Apple products working together. I'll be getting the next iPhone no matter what.

No plans. It's basically an S7 Edge with an S Pen. It is basically the same physical size which is great with a screen that's .2 inches bigger.

Just played with one in Best Buy and nah still can't convince me. Touchwiz might be better than before but that don't make it good. Too cartoonish for me. Another launcher fixes it but $850 shouldn't need fixes. My backup phone is a note 4 with nova loaded and won't spend $850 to replace that. Now I'm leaning toward a nexus 6p or oneplus 3 as my backup device.
