iMessage Contact Photos In SMS Threads

Been on a 6s Plus for awhile. Just noticed that I don't have profile photos in the threads. They do show up in the list of open SMS threads. But not in the individual thread. Any idea how to change this?

Good question, I've had the same issues with my iPhone. I hope someone can explain why this happens.

If the thread is with a single person, you will not see any contact photos in the thread.

If the thread is with more than one person, then you should see them.

Can you clarify the behavior you are seeing?

Yeah I just meant with a single person. I don't see profile pictures at the top of the thread either. Those don't show up. I get no profile picture in the thread unless it's a group thread.

You must be on iOS 10 beta.

It's new with iOS 10. He gets it on the beta.

If you look on the iMore homepage, I don't know if Rene is on iOS 10, but when his Plus is in landscape, you get contact images on the left plane, the conversation list. I don't get that either.

I only get it in Portrait mode. It must be iOS 10.
