Why can't I send a text (SMS) message on my iphone 6sPlus

I can receive a text-SMS and MMS but I can't reply because nothing happens when I press send

Have you tried Resetting? Press Power and Home until the Apple logo appears.
Otherwise, have your SIM checked.

You should also check your settings.

Settings -> Messages

Make sure the switch for "Send as SMS" is enabled. Then below that "MMS Messaging" and "Group Messaging".
