16 gig?, waste of time 64 gig is the way to go.

If you don't store media and photos locally or use the cloud exclusively 16GB might be quite enough. Now, my FDA provided 8GB 5C? Now that is a waste of time. It barely has enough room for an icon. I know 16GB works for a lot of people. My FDA provided 16GB 5s is just fine because I'm not storing games and media on it.

Yes I did but I barely use my phone. Just text, web browsing, a few online videos. I don't live with my phone the way a lot of folks do so the way I see it is if you can get by with a 16 then its ok

I would never buy 16GB anything since I had a iPhone 3 which was difficult to upgrade IOS without deleting stuff. Not a big proponent of carrying personal pictures around or wasting my time playing games. 64GB seems to be perfectly adequate. 32GB entry level would make much better sense. I am 74 years young and cannot understand why young people waste valuable time playing silly games or constantly telling friends what you are doing minute by minute. Get a life and put your devices down a bit and partake of the world.

I did initially but regretted it soon after as quickly ran out of space, despite not having all that may apps on my phone, no offline music/videos etc. At the time I got my 16gb iPhone 6S plus for ?545 and could have got a 64gb for ?600 or a 128gb for ?635 - from a place that sells second hand phones. When they were that price though I kept saying I didnt need more storage - but when I did, the prices had gone up and they didnt have 128gb ones in stock any more and 64gb ones were hard to come by and when I did find one, it was ?660 and came without a box. My partner insisted I got a 64GB from the Apple store instead for ?690 instead of waiting but, ended up spending the extra and getting the 128GB one :D. 64GB would have been fine but, if I was being treated I thought i may as well get the extra storage as I wont be able to upgrade again afterwards.

The core audience here may scoff at 16GB but the general public has a differing view me thinks.

Apple is still selling the 16GB because there is still money to be made with it. All the other manufacturers have pretty much moved on and offer the 32GB as the starting capacity so Apple kind of has that 16GB market to themselves.

It's definitely to make the decision harder. Apple can make a cool $100 more to for something that's not that expensive (64 GB of space). The end user is less likely to choose the 32 over the 16 than is likely to choose the 64 over 16.

I did originally...but a few days ago, before my 16GB 14 day return passed, I went back and got the 128GB. Better to have an not need! :-D

No, I upgraded from a 16 gb iPhone 5 to the 64 gb 6s Plus. It would be difficult to go back to 16 gb. I would if I had to. But it would be a PITA.

I knew when getting my iPhone, 16GB wasn't even an option. I keep all my music on my device, and 16GB would hardly cover half of it. So 64GB was the only option.

I had a 16gb 6+ and I had never had a spacial issue with any other iPhone until that one. Granted I only had a 4s and a 4 prior but that prompted me to just buy the 128gb and never have to worry about space for a long long time.
