Only discovered this today by accident and apologies if this is a feature or is known, but I'm new again to iPhone

When running your finger or thumb clock-wise on the touch ID/mental surrounding, the app moves to half screen... what is this all about or is it a glitch within 9.1?

Thanks

It's called Reachability. It's to assist with one handed use. I'm a two hander, so I don't use it. You can toggle it off in Accessibility.

I don't know why but this feature just seems off to me, the 6 Plus models just seem too large to really hold one handed. If you have massive hands it may work for you but overall it feels weird but its great to have the option of turning it off.

a very light double-tap will raise/lower the screen. Great for the 6+ when you need to reach top-screen items and you are one-handed.
