Anyone else having trouble with text notification sound?

Upgraded to a iPhone 6 Plus s and I cannot get sound to happen with my texts. Any ideas on how to fix or is it a known problem?

Yes! I have had the same problem since going to 9.0.2. Glad that it's not just with my phone. My sound with texts is very hit or miss. I actually reset my entire device yesterday and set it up as new and its better but still not as it should be.

Try any of the following:

1. Try rebooting the device.

2. Go to Settings - General - Reset, then select "Reset All Settings".

3. Restore your device and set it up as new.

I won't speak for the OP but I will say I've tried all of those and am still having the issue. I think it's 9.0.2.

I had that issue when I was setting up my new iPhone a couple weeks ago, and what I did was turn off iMessages in settings then reboot and then turned it back on again. I started getting my notifications and sounds.
