How do I view/send live photos on the iPhone 6s Plus?

Sending Live Photos to iPhone 6s plus

How do I view a live photo that is on my macbook on my iPhone 6s plus? i tried sending it by email, iMessage and airdrop. it just shows up on the phone as a regular jpeg. Any help appreciated .

email and airdrop don't work for sure. I thought iMessage would, but if it's not then I think your only option is to use iCloud photo library. iCloud photo sharing may also be worth trying.

iCloud sharing is always what I do to share photos

You need to be on iOS 9 and all you have to do is press the image and it will work. I've had a few people send them to me and it works, right inside iMessage.

Just remember with photo sharing, it's not local on the phone. So it doesn't get backed up. You would need to save the photos to your phone for them to get backed up.
