It's not really notifications it's a widget. Pull down widget screen. Click edit and make sure batteries is included.

Go to the Notification Center and scroll to the bottom and choose EDIT. It should be on the list of widgets to be added. At one point in the process, it was only there if you had a Bluetooth device connected to the iPhone, but not sure if that is still the case. Mine shows my iPhone, my Watch and my car's stereo system.

It only shows if you have another device connected by bluetooth like the Apple watch.
ah thanks. I was going to say it just showed up from no where on mine but I just paired my Bluetooth set to it. So that's why I just saw it. Thank you.

That's probably why is I just connected my Apple Watch to the new iPhone with iOS 9 on it. Thanks guys.

At least all that supports telling battery level. One pair of my headphones show the battery level but not the other.

Same with my BT speakers.
