How will you be setting up your new 6S Plus? iCloud Restore, iTunes Restore, New?

If you set up as new, you'll have to download your apps from the purchased list in the App Store.

Yes, I know. I guess that's part of the fun for me. Kinda weird, I know. Lol. Also my latest backup is from 9.1 so it'd be unusable on my 6s+ anyhow.

I think I'm going to set mine up as new since I'm on a backup from my iPhone 5S days. I've dealt with a few glitches the past year and I just don't want to deal with them any more.

I am going to try iTunes encrypted backup restore. This will only be my second iPhone so i'm not sure the process to restore. I tried restoring my current iphone 6+ to a previous ios 8, but the restore button is greyed out. So hopefully restoring the new 6s+ from iTunes will work properly. If anyone has some advice for a newb feel free to chime in. Hope this post makes sense.

I have a lot that would really be a hassle to set up again. Mostly time consuming. I'll set up with iCloud, then if there's issues, I'll restore as new. I restored as new earlier this year. We'll see.

I ordinarily just use the iCloud Restore, but now that I've got health data I probably should do an encrypted iTunes Restore after unpairing my Watch and backing up.

Yeah, I'll set up with iCloud first. Too much set up involved. Time consuming. If there's issues, I'll then restore as new.

I know I can sync all my contacts, calendar. emails and bookmarks. i can resync my musi/pics/books.

how does the game save progress work. all apps will have to be setup again too?

I usually do from backup (iCloud) because I need my text messages more than anything else. Other than that it's just convenience...

I thinks that's pretty much saved. If you go into your iCloud settings you can see what apps are backed up and how much space is takes up.

iTunes encrypted was a great big pain. Much prefer iCloud. But my watch data and health data survived, and that's what counts.

Finally got my apps downloaded and saved properly.
