To buy an iPhone Unlocked, you'd have to buy it outright from the Apple Store. Your other option is to find one on Ebay, Craigslist, etc.

I don't think unlocked is available yet. You can buy a carrier branded phone at full price and then have them unlock it for you.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the T-Mobile version is unlocked. When I ordered mine I selected unlocked option and the only one that came up was the T-Mobile version. Several others on here did the same and planning using them on AT&T, as am I.

I believe that the TMO iPhones are missing one of the new AT&T LTE bands so you may want to wait and get the AT&T model. Apple has an LTE site which explains which phones have which radios. www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/

I think U have it the other way around. The T-Mobile Version has all the ATT bands and the new Low Band 12. T-Mobile has more bands than ATT.

AT&T version has band 30. TMO does not.

The T-mobile version is unlocked when you buy it at full price through apple.com. I buy it this way every year (including this year) and it hasnt changed.
