Is it normal for my phone to prompt me for Facebook passcode?

I had changed my fb password a couple of weeks ago. Now every now and then I'll get a pop up asking me to put my facebook password into settings within the phone. Is this something normal? I can either go to settings or cancel. When I click to go to settings it has a place to enter it also an option to "delete account"
I'm kind of wondering if it has anything to do with fact I had it set that if I logged out of facebook all I had to do was hit my profile picture and it signed me back in.

Yes. Go to Settings → Facebook, and then enter your username and passcode.
