Screen resolution changes when keyboard is displayed

I have created a browser based app for my family, but my cousin's IPhone 6 Plus is misbehaving.

When he clicks in an input area and the keyboard displays, the screen resolution changes, zooming in so that my app no longer fits the screen.

Is this expected behavior, for the screen resolution to change when the keyboard displays?

Is there a setting, perhaps?

Not to my knowledge, and no, there isn't a setting for what you've described.

Does he have anything active in the Accessibility settings related to the screen zooming?

Perhaps the app is somehow triggering it.

I will investigate that, thanks for the lead! The app is just a browser-based angular.js single page app, optimized for Chrome, nothing really fancy.
