Apple Care for iPhone 6
So I purchased an iPhone 6 just over a year ago from the Telus store. And when I purchased the phone I also bought the extended Apple Care, that I am paying monthly for. When they were explaining to me how the Extended Apple care works, I also asked them if in an incident where the screen cracks that isn't my fault, and accidental crack, would AppleCare cover the cost and fix my screen for free?
The associate at the Telus store had told me that if my screen cracks, I have the eligibility to get it fixed at no cost, since I am paying into AppleCare.
Well now, my screen just cracked yesterday, I called the Telus store, told them my situation. And they told me that even with AppleCare I still have to pay a fee of 79$ to fix my screen, and depending on how my screen is cracked, they might even just give me a new phone instead.....but jot a brand new phone, a "refurbished" phone. At this point I completely lost it, and I told them that one of their associates assured me that i would not have to pay to get my screen fixed because I am paying into Apple care.
Like honestly, what the **** is the point in paying for Apple care if they won't fix the damage on the phone. I understand that if I dropped my phone there's nothing they can do about it because it was my fault. But I'm paying for this ****,
Has anyone had any luck in getting Apple to replace their accidental fracked screen for free without having to pay the stupid 79$ fee??
