Iphone 6 don't know passcode?

Hi there, I recently (stupidly) purchased an iphone 6 from eBay recently for my partners birthday, as soon as it arrived I immediately discovered the phone still had a passcode on it. I have made several attempts to contact the seller but to no avail. I checked on various websites if I could bypass this code to which I had no success either. I'm here on this forum to find out if anybody could help me with this problem as I am now ?300 out if pocket for a phone I can do nothing with. Any help or info would be much appreciated thanks guys.

File a complaint with eBay. The seller should be able to remote wipe the phone to allow you access to it... if not, the eBay complaint process should allow you to get your money back and return the device to the seller.
