I just got an iPhone 6 and whenever I lightly double tap everything goes half way down.

I'm seeing the blur thing as if something's suppose to be there. For eg. listening music, if I lightly double tap it'll go down n I'll only see half of the display.. Is this normal or? please help..

That's totally normal when you double tap the home button. It is so you can type one handed. It is called Reachability.

You can turn it off in Settings > General >Accessibility > Reachability
