Why can't Siri detect my voice?

hey guys siri cant detect my voice ive checked that the mic is working buy phoning sumone and tried the google app and all works okay ive just done a factory reset but still happening anymore suggestions? :/

Do you mean "Hey Siri"?? You have to enable that in Settings for Siri on compatible devices...

no when you hold down the home button to activate and speak its not recognizing my voice and nothings happening

reboot... if still an issue and you're under warranty or have AppleCare - a Genius Bar visit may be in order.

theres nothing wrong with the phone its working perfectly fine it working with google now. its just siri that's not doing anything could be a possible bug?

Try turning Siri off in settings... reboot - then turn it back on in settings... failing that - you may need to restore the iOS via iTunes... and if there's still an issue after that, Genius Bar...

Happened to a phone belonging to one of my contractors, Apple ended up replacing it for us.
It had the exact same issue, Siri never heard me. MIc worked for video recording, voice memos and phone calls.
Also tested with and with out wired headset. No Go.
