iPhone 6 recovery mode problems

I have an iPhone 6, I don't know the passcode and iCloud & find my iPhone are off. When I plug it in with itunes it says it needs to be updated & restored so I click ok.
Then while the update is downlading it vibrates twice and goes to the lock screen and says 'Passcode is required for iphone so update can't continue' or something like that.

How can i just restart this phone so I can start using it like new again?
