Why aren't I receiving voice mails on my iPhone 6?

on the Iphone 6 i am not recieving voicemails

It pops up asking for a password but I have never set up a password and when I leave a message from another phone it doesn't show up as a notification. I have had several people including myself leave messages and I haven't gotten any

Go to Settings -> Phone and then select "Change Voicemail Password".
