How can I get contact search working?

Contact search is not working

Contact search is not working on my iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s (ios 9.2).
Here is my iphone6 screenshot below.

I've experienced the same thing, but not in all situations. If I go straight into contacts and do a search, it's fine. But if I'm doing something like trying to add a phone number from text message to an existing contact, I get the same thing as you. What are you doing when you get this issue? I'm guessing it's a bug they need to address.

Contact search is not working

This is a common issue we've been seeing but it's usually fixed pretty easily:
1. Tap on GROUPS in the upper left corner of the screen.
2. Uncheck all groups.
3. Re-check all groups.
4. Tap on DONE.
5. Try your search again.

Yes this trick working fine but when I Re-check single icloud group than it is not working.

Everything done by ticking and unticking even thogh same issue

Hi Mahesh,
Follow this steps, the contact search will work.
1. Go to icloud.com and login with your credential
2. Go to Contacts and at the bottom left create new group
3. Go to phone and select all groups and search contact will work.

I had the same problem, tried everything and not working, Until I decided to upgrade the newest iOS 10.2 and the contact search working again
