Sometimes when texting this Grey box appears on all text and I can't remove it unless I restart or close whatever apps/windows are open I am still able to text while it's showing but it does not go away

Have you updated to iOS 9.1? It's supposed to fix that. It's the audio text feature. It's activicated by pressing the mic on the right side. Try swiping the messages app out of multitasking. That works. Update if you're not jailbreaking.

You activated speak to text and then the bubble didn't go away. It's an iOS 9 bug that happens to me pretty frequently. The only way I can get it to go away is to force close the messages app and then open it up. Eventually it happens again, rebooting my iPhone does not prevent it from happening.

I have updated to 9.1 have still seen the bug

Have you force closed the messages app out of multitasking? I had this happen twice before updating to 9.1. Haven't seen it since updating. Are you sure you're not hitting the mic by accident? That would activate it.

I am positive I'm thinking of doing a factory reset

If iOS 9.1 didn't fix it, you might need to try that. I suggest restoring as new. Not from a back up. It's a PITA, but does wonders. I had issues with my new 6s Plus I had set up with an iCloud back up. I did a restore as new and it's been great ever since. Took me 2 days to get my phone set back up though. LOL A back up sometimes can hold the bug that causes the problem.
