Need help re: playlist content syncing, but playlist itself empty??

Hello -

I have an iPhone 6 running the latest iOS (8.4.1) and the latest version of iTunes.

I do not use iTunes Match, and do not have Apple Music. All of my music syncs from files on my computer.

I have about a dozen playlists, and ten of them work properly. Two of them are as follows:

(1) Smart playlist comprised of the top 25 most played songs from my entire music catalog.
(2) Smart playlist comprised of the top 100 most played songs from my entire music catalog.

I have these 2 playlists selected to sync to my iPhone.

The CONTENT actually syncs. Meaning, the top 25 most played songs are synced to my phone and are available to play.

However, the PLAYLIST itself, when viewed from the playlist menu, is empty. The top 25 songs do not appear in the playlist.

Any ideas why this isn't appearing? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to uncheck the all playlists, sync, recheck playlists, and sync, again?
