Sorry for the TL;DR

I bought an iPhone in under two minutes this weekend and it was incredible. I was looking at the 6, I had been wanting to try it for awhile. I bought my 6+ because I wanted the bigger battery, OIS and more dots on my bigger display. While the bigger display was fantastic when I'm at home on my easy chair or in my bed, it was hard for me to hold while I was out and about. I always had to hold my 6+ with two hands, regardless of where I was. I just can't hold it with one hand and not come close to dropping it.

While at home, I loved my bigger display for YouTube, Safari, and various other apps. While I was out I lamented about how big the device was. So I bought a 6 this weekend. It has honestly been kind of awesome. I do miss the bigger battery, but when I'm at my desk working (or trying to-lol) I charge it, same when I'm in the car so it's not a big deal. I do miss the bigger screen at home occasionally but it's not like the iPhone 6's screen is tiny or anything so it's workable. When I go out I love being able to hold my phone one handed without the fear of dropping it.

The Apple store guy (specialist?) was super nice and helpful. I told him I wanted an unlocked Space Gray and in seconds another employee had it in my hands. I paid with my Apple Watch and boom. New iPhone 6 in under 2 minutes. I also bought the blue and green sport bands while I was there. So happy to see that they had them. Though they still didn't have the docks in.

Anyway, just wanted to share my experience. Hope everyone had an awesome Memorial day weekend, and if you're not in the states just an awesome weekend in general :).

I was debating between the 64 GB iPhone 6 Plus and 128 GB iPhone 6. I went with the iPhone 6 due to price and amount of storage needed. Like you, I was worried about wanting more screen size as well as more battery life. Because I am on a 2 GB/mo. limit I look at videos on my MacBook when I get home so that I can take advantage of the WiFi. As for battery life, I don't use the phone too much during the work day so I am charging it less frequently than my previous phone (Nokia Lumia 928, which can only charge when it is on).

I think its good that you went for the iphone 6 because if your phone is too big, it'll be uncomfortable to carry it around. I do enjoy iPhone 6+ cause of the large screen when watching videos, however, its easier to text with the iPhone 6 than the iPhone 6+. Glad to hear that you had an awesome experience at the apple store, despite being the holiday weekend.

Yeah it's much easier to text with. :)

Sounds like a ad for a Apple store, i.e. it was incredible!! i.e. the Apple guy specialist was super helpful. Did you think they were going to turn you away or something lol.

I went the other way had a 6 for 6 months and swapped to a 6 plus 128gb 2 months ago, much nicer phone, smoother, better screen, easier to type on. Better camera, video. Only charge every 2 days. Couldn't go back myself.

I've never been in and out that quick is what I was getting at lol. I'd argue most stores I go to the reps aren't helpful or even useful.
