Why cant i send text messages to just one number but can call it.

I have an iphone 6 on EE and they have sony experia z3 on o2. A message pops after i have tried to send the message saying to check the number isnt an international number which it isnt. and to put +44 before the number. Ive tried deleting the contact and putting it back in but still not working. its just for one specific number which i find strange and i can call it.

Can they send you a text? If so, can you respond to a message they sent to you previously?

I would contact EE and your friend should contact O2. Someone's got a faulty SIM I think.
