Why do I have to use a speaker on my iPhone 6 since installing Airplay?

Airplay on iPhone6

Airplay has stopped me being able to speak on my iPhone6 without using speaker.
How do i fix this ?

Swipe up from the bottom of the phone to bring up Control Center...check phone instead of whatever else may be there.
