Whenever I try to make a call, why does my iPhone 6 show call ended?

whenever i try to make a call my iPhone 6 shows call ended ?

sometimes the phone makes the call but usually it doesn't.i have now noticed that this problem only started when i downloaded iOS 8.1 but now that i have downloaded iOS 8.2 it is still persisting.should i get a new handset

Try reinstalling the iOS... If the issue persists, visit an Apple GeniusBar.
