DND Whitelist for App?

Maybe this should be in the App section, but since it is an iP6, thought I would start here. I am looking for a way to allow a specific app to notify me even when the phone is on Do Not Disturb. I can find plenty of apps that allow certain contacts to get through, but I can do that with the native OS. Let me explain the purpose. I am a firefighter and we no longer use pagers for notifications of calls. We use an app called Active911. But when we are sleeping, if I allow the app to send me notifications, all my other notifications come through as well. We do get house tones, but on occasion there have been problems with the system. There has to be a way to allow just a specific app to notify right?

Presently none I'm aware of...

You can turn off notifications for individual apps and only leave your specific app on. This is not ideal but it's the only work around currently available
