GREAT question.

What about using the FIRST GEN iPad charger plug base with the new iPhone 6 ? Part of me iOS pretty leery about doing it

You can and I don't think it does anything harmful to the battery. I've done it on at least two of my iPhones for quite a bit of time and it didn't seem to be detrimental to the battery

The charger that comes with an iPad. The part hat plugs into the wall.

Haha yes sorry I didn't explain what I mean is what's different? Here in the UK the plug is the same as the one that you get with an iPhone. Cosmetically there's no difference and no difference in the packaging?

.... Wait unless the plug that comes with the full size ipad is different to the iPad mini etc?

I've got one of the bigger wall plugs that came with my original iPhone 2 back in the day, will this charge my current devices quicker? I just assumed that they had managed to produce a smaller version rather than there being a technical voltage difference?
