Why won't my phone connect via LTE?

Last night I was out and for some reason my phone would not connect to LTE. I was in the city, there aren't any connection problems, and my husband's iPad 4 had full LTE but not my phone.
Today I'm home, I can't get LTE either.
Anyone has this problem? How do I fix it?

If you're using an 'iPhone", you can try going to Settings - Cellular and make sure that "Enable LTE" is enabled and/or Settings - General - Reset and then select "Reset Network Settings".
