Apple leather case messed up

Great! Apple gave me a new case.
Went home and tried it.

Is this really how it should fit or idk whats going on??

For a $40 thin case, that's crap...I'm sorry, but that's unacceptable. It looks like it's been squeezed with your hand to the point that it's deformed....but if it's like this out of the box then they have some serious quality control issues.

I assume it's pretty hard to create leather cases perfectly each time. My blue one has a slight deformity and my black one is pretty well built. Attached are the pics. I can't exchange the blue one.....

Thank you! It looks like mine, and i guess its hard to make them perfect.

Why cant you exchange the blue one?

Call me crazy, but if I spend $40 on a case that is AT BEST gonna protect my phone from getting scratched when placed on a table, then it better be "perfect" when I purchase it.

No issues with Leather or Silicone cases for me from Direct Apple store locally.

Maybe get it switched out or as other suggested, try another vendor and case...

I looked at the photos several times and I cannot find anything wrong with the leather case. It is made from a natural material after all and cannot be expected to be perfect especially after some use.
