I recently received a message from Verizon stating that I recently enabled advance calling on my iPhone 6. I was recently playing with my phone settings and must have switched it on..

Is anyone aware of this service? Does it cost more?

It does not cost any more money. If you call someone else on Verizon that has this feature, it will sounds like you are face timing them.

VoLTE is free.

You have to activate it on your account, then you have to go to the Cellular setting on the iPhone 6 or 6+ and change it to "Voice and Data".

Calls between two iPhone 6s is phenomenal with VoLTE. The sound quality is light years ahead of anything I've ever heard.
