Need help with iPhone 6

I'm new to iPhones and I already have a question. How do I close apps on the phone?

I'm sure I'll have more as I finish setting up my accounts. Thanks in advance

Double click the home button. Then swipe up on the app you want to close.

Double press the home button to bring up the app switcher then just slide away the apps you wanna close. Although that being said iPhones do quite a good job with memory management and closing out of apps is really unnecessary. I've left like 50+ apps before and my iPhone never skipped a beat.

Thanks I was pressing and holding and Siri kept coming up I then kept trying tap screen. Again thanks
