I don't think you can order it unlocked yet (from what I have been reading). The full priced phone on the site is still locked to T-mobile, just with no contract.

That would be fine with me but I can't even pick that in the app.

If anyone has the apple store ipad app, that's working, more or less. I had to try a few times, but the order was placed with delivery set for 9/19. I haven't received an email yet though.

Yup, iPhone 6+ 64gb space gray just showed up again as an option in the app store. Ordered, got email, delivery 9/19, back to bed!

Found that the iPad app store was giving me availability where the iPhone app store did not. Highly inconsistent at times too.

Could be a function of slammed servers and extremely high volume/traffic.

I ordered from the iPhone app and it went through. Got my confirmation email and everything. The only thing is that I chose "In-store pick-up", but it still gave me "ship to me". I wonder if it will just work itself out after processing.
