It's clear that we're reaching the limit of what useful technology can be included within a mobile phone. So wouldn't this work?
The ultimate iPhone!
You buy an iPhone with a starter spec then as and when be able to have upgrades
Increase of memory, faster processor even case changes. You would need an iPhone 5,6,7??? you would keep the initial phone !

I presume that there will be limitations but??
